What can you do in a hour?

 Well not make the most beautiful cake ever.  Cakes take much longer than an hour, and to manage two in that time was a miracle in and of itself.  Then you add that they were cakes that I was asked last minute to "fix".  So I called a great friend and her and I made frosting, put the crumbling cakes back together with a lot of frosting, frosted and added a little girly to the cakes.  They weren't a great masterpiece, they have many things wrong with them.  But considering the time constraint I was happy with them.  Now think what they could have looked like had I just made them from scratch.  It's much easier to bake with a days notice than to fix in an hour.  Just sayin'

Wedding Tasting

 When you are preparing for a wedding you don't always know the baker or flavor of cakes/cupcakes you would like.  A cake tasting is always a good way to figure it out.  These were made for one of those.  You get a sampling of styles to decorate as well as cakes and frostings in the flavors you are considering.  As I am a small business and I bake on demand, not like a normal bakery where there is always some on hand, you have to request this. 

 I do charge a fee depending on the number of cupcakes and the amount of different cakes and frostings we are sampling.  But that amount is credited towards your wedding if you book with me.  If you don't...well you bought yourself some cupcakes to enjoy and I hope you did.

 The tasting shown here had carrot cake and red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and heavenly frosting. 

Simple beauty for a beautiful baby girl

 To celebrate a new baby I was asked to make a cake to match the baby's blessing dress.  It was a simple white dress with just a few tiny pink flowers here or there.

Need a flower

 I was in need of about 10 tiny pink flowers.  I had to make an entire batch of royal frosting to accommodate so I figured I might as well have some fun and make a bunch more flowers.  I'm sure they will come in handy.  It's nice to know I have some on hand.
