Baseball Baby Shower

It was fun to do this baby shower for a great lady who loves her baseball.  How could the theme not be baseball when its her favorite?

Chocolate for the mom to be

It was fun to make this tasty cake for a baby shower.  I mean, what expectant mom doesn't want a triple chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling topped with fudge frosting and chocolate dipped strawberries.  Can we say yum?

Nautical Baby Shower

It was fun to put together this nautical baby shower.  We did a cupcake tower cake.  It had both mini and regular cupcakes so people could try multiple flavors of cupcakes if they wanted to.  The stars and anchors used to decorate the cupcakes and cakes I made with white chocolate colored navy blue.

The cupcakes were triple chocolate with chocolate whip cream frosting, lemon-lime cupcakes with lime butter cream frosting, orange dreamsicle cupcakes with butter cream frosting, and white chocolate with butter cream frosting.

Saw the cute boat ideas on pintrist and had to add those for a little fun height.

Along the bottom of the ckae are edible chocolate seashells and blue chocolate candies.  Ignore the messed up top border.  By the time I took this picture a little finger had adjusted the top border and I had yet to notice it to fix it.  It was fixed by the time the party started.

I also was very happy with how the decorations I threw together turned out along with the diaper cake my daughter helped me to make.

All in all it turned out great with a few left over cupcakes to give to some great neighbors who helped out with the supplies for decorations that I didn't have.

Baby Shower for a little boy

I was given a picture of the bedding, which was blue quilt with airplanes on it.  This was the cake I made to match the theme.

Beautiful Baby Shower

Love this beautiful baby shower cake I made.  Each tier was a different flavor, some spice, some chocolate and some strawberry banana.  All frosted with wedding white.  Flowers were made a few weeks in advance.  Simple and beautiful.

Ducky Cake

Congrats on the new little baby with this fun cake of water and bubbles with a few little ducks floating around in it.

Cake Reveal

It was so fun to do this cake reveal.  The mom and dad looked away during the ultra sound then delivered the envelope with the picture saying boy or girl to me.  I then made this cake with the appropriate color inside to annouce what they were having.  They gathered friends together and everyone watched as the mom cut into the cake to see what they were having.

Being a big sports family it was an easy choice to do a Blue vs Pink cake.  Especially when the house was pretty split on what was wanted.

But when the mom cut in and saw blue she screamed in happiness!  She won!  She got her boy!  So happy for her and her family.  So lucky to have been a part of such a fun way to announce to their friends and find out themselves what they were having.

The cake is a white chooclate cake just colored with some blue coloring.

Ducky cupcakes

When you don't know what you are having ducks are such a versitile baby theme.  Loved adding the football sprinkles to add a little of the mom's personality to these cupcakes.

Ducks in a variety of uses

Though these cakes/cupcakes were for different occasions it was fun to work on three baby cakes and to tie ducks into them all.  They are all white chocolate cake with buttercream frosting on the two cakes and whipped cream frosting on the cupcakes.  The water cake is colored pink inside for a mom of a new baby girl.  The football cake is colored blue inside as you will see about in the next post adn the cupcakes are a little of each.

Jungle Baby!

Adorable Jungle baby shower cake to match the bedding.  Triple chocolate cake with whip cream frosting.

Baby Shower

This baby shower was not gender specific so we had some fun with both pink and blue.

Tasty cake pops

Gotta love tasty fun cake pops for a treat.  These cute girly ones were white chocolate and strawberry with lemonade frosting.  The Brown ones are dark chocolate coconut with chocolate fudge frosting.

Baby Boy!

For this baby shower we had fun using the cricuit cake to cut fun edible shapes to add to the cupcake tower.  They were white chocolate with white chocolate ganache and triple chocolate with chocolate ganache cupcakes all frosted with buttercream frosting.
